How Live Trading Works
Understand how Tradient executes strategies in live markets.
Live trading is where your strategy moves from simulation to real execution. Tradient connects to your broker account and automatically executes trades based on your strategy's rules — exactly as they performed in backtesting.
The Live Trading Process
- 1Connect your broker account to Tradient (one-time setup)
- 2Select a backtested strategy to deploy
- 3Configure live trading settings (position size, risk limits)
- 4Activate the strategy — it begins monitoring the market
- 5When conditions are met, Tradient sends orders to your broker automatically
- 6Monitor trades and performance in real-time from the dashboard

What Happens Behind the Scenes
Tradient's execution engine continuously monitors market data and evaluates your strategy's conditions in real-time. When entry conditions are met, it calculates the appropriate position size, sends the order to your broker via API, and then monitors the trade for exit conditions, stop loss, and take profit levels.
Live trading involves real money. Always start with small position sizes and monitor your strategy closely for the first few weeks.
